A number of study tours running to projects in east and central London.
On Wednesday 12th June there will be an option for delegates to go on a study tour to Welwyn Garden City. This will include an option to attend an evening lecture by Dr Mervyn Miller on ‘Transatlantic Garden City Dialogue’.
There will be a limited number of places available for the tour. Cost is £62 including VAT (approximately €60 + VAT) per participant which includes return transport from London.
On Sunday 9th June delegates will have the opportunity to take part in a London based study tour. This study tour will take delegates to some key regeneration sites in east of the city, including the Siemens Urban Sustainability Centre at Royal Victoria Docks. Further details to follow soon.
On Saturday 8th June delegates will have the opportunity to visit world’s first Garden City at Letchworth. The tour will allow delegates to explore the planning and architecture of Raymond Unwin and Barry Parker, and learn about the benefits and challenges of the Garden City governance model today. The tour will also include a visit to some of the Garden City’s more contemporary developments, which aim to apply the Garden City principles to 21st century Low Carbon housing design.
