Overlooking the Olympic stadium, Forman’s is a unique venue in the heart of the East End.

The IFHP Centenary Congress will take delegates to the heart of the city’s hotbed of transformation, conducting a range of activities in East London. After the pre-congress tour to East London, the Opening Ceremony will take place in the prestigious Forman’s Fish Island. At this unique location, you can experience the atmosphere of this dynamic part of town, with a view on the Olympic Stadium. Nicky Gavron (former Deputy Mayor of London, London Assembly Member and Labour Spokesperson for Housing and Planning on the London Assembly) will welcome congress participants to London and give a flavour of the key housing and planning opportunities and challenges facing this dynamic city. The reception will also provide an introduction to what is in store over the following days.

Forman’s is located on the banks of the River Lea on Fish Island. There is some parking and good coach drop off .

Information for the shuttle bus pick up point at Stratford station
Stratford station is an incredibly complex site as it was expanded to be the main transport hub for the Olympic park last summer. Please allow plenty of time for navigating your way around it. It consists of two shopping centres (old and new) connected by a pedestrian bridge. The shuttle buses will run from the new side, outside The Cow Pub, 4 Chestnut Plaza, Westfield Stratford City, Montfichet Road, London, E20.  Chestnut Plaza is in The Street and is signposted from the Westfield Shopping Centre exits leading to the external shops and restaurants areas.
