“Thinking Big” – Urbego learning programme

Wednesday 5th – Friday 7th June

This pre-conference training event is specifically designed to provide a skill-enhancing mini course to participants of various international backgrounds. It is addressed to a small group (</= 25 participants) of young professionals and master students in the areas of housing and planning. The mini course is conducted in 3 days and is designed with a “how to” approach and an intent to increase specific skills needed to respond to the issues arising from the urbanization. It will be coherent in content with the main topic of the track I of the congress (challenges of urban growth).

The training course coordinator is Claudio Acioly Jr., Head Capacity Development Unit, UN-HABITAT.

Selecting participants
A group of a maximum of 25 young professionals and master students are selected to participate in the mini-course. The selection criteria are:

  • Academic performance and professional experience(based on CV)
  • Motivation for participating in the mini-course (based on motivation letter and CV)
  • International in working in international context (based on CV and motivation letter)

The Urbego training course is part of the Congress events calendar so it is open only to who will attend the IFHP Congress. For the training course participants, IFHP offers a special fee of EUR 175 for the Congress (student fee).
